Thursday after the Sunday of the Visitation to Elizabeth

Letter to the Ephesians 2,17-22.
Jesus came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near;
for through him both of us have access in one Spirit to the Father.
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.
In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling-place for God.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 4,39-42.
Many Samaritans from that city believed in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony, ‘He told me everything I have ever done.’
So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them; and he stayed there for two days.
And many more believed because of his word.
They said to the woman, ‘It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is truly the Saviour of the world.’
