What are the Gospels?
The Gospels are the teachings of Jesus Christ recorded by the evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
Which version do we use?
The version of the Gospel we use is that which is read in the Divine Liturgy by the Maronite faithful of the United States, which uses the New Revised Standard Version, a Catholic version.
What is the liturgical calendar?
During the year, the different seasons celebrate the moments of the saving plan of Christ, following every aspect of His life and ministry. The Liturgical Year begins the first Sunday of November with a consecration and rededication of the Church.
